Application of High-voltage Inverter on the Slurry Pump of Semi-autogenous Mill

Beneficiation process requires that the speed of slurry pump be continuously regulated, so that slurry of various pipes in the closed-loop controlled process system can maintain dynamic balance, no overflow, no discontinuous flow, no choke and burst pipe. Otherwise, it will result in the parking of beneficiation equipment and a large number of loss and waste of copper, sulfur, iron concentrates and significant economic losses. This paper describes the composition and principle of high-voltage inverter, and the application effects of high-voltage inverter on the slurry pump of semi-autogenous mill in the Concentrator of Fongguashan Copper Mine. It also presents the harmonics effects of high-voltage inverter on the high-pressure asynchronous motor and the solutions.
