Progress of Big Data Storage Technology

In the era of big data, we are facing more data types and data scale which grows in an unprecedented rate, it brings great challenges to data storage, management and analysis. The traditional stand-alone data storage engine cannot meet the needs of managing the rapid growth of data, and it is necessary to build highperformance, highly scalable, cost effective and easy-to-use distributed storage system infrastructure. This paper presents a brief overview of some classic distributed storage systems and related key technologies.
