Caisson Construction for Shield Machine Working Shaft for A Cable Tunnel to Shantou Huaneng Power Plant

In the project of Shantou Huaneng Power Plant (II), caisson construction for the working shaft of the segmental sea crossing cable tunnel is carried out through the flowing plastic mucky soil. To ensure steady and smooth operation during connection and sinking of the caisson, engineering measures are taken to provide sand piles inside the caisson and deep high pressure rotary jet pile fencing outside, and have a good result. Introduced hereby are the proposed method and the technique and monitor adopted in caisson construction.
