中英文横竖排版方式视认绩效差异研究

目的本文探索中英文横竖排版方式对视认绩效的影响,并进一步确定横竖排版方式对视认绩效的影响是否因中英文文字不同而异。方法通过60名被试分别完成词语搜索和词语理解两种实验任务,来比较中英文横竖排版方式的视认绩效。结果两种文字下横向排版方式的视认绩效均高于竖向排版方式,但英文横竖版式间的差异较大,中文横竖排版方式差异较小。结论文字排版方式对视认绩效有显著影响,文字排版方式的视认绩效差异因文字类型而异,中文排版方式具有更高的灵活性。

The Reasearch on Visual Recognition Performance Differences between Horizontal Layout and Vertical Layout in Both English and Chinese Charaeters

Objective Exploring the recognition performance differences between horizontal layout and vertical layout in both English and Chinese languages,and further to determining whether the performance difference was affected by different languages.Methods 60 subjects completed the words search task and words understanding task to compare the visual recognition performance between horizontal layout and vertical layout in both English and Chinese languages.Results The visual recognition performance of horizontal layout is higher than that of vertical layout,but there are greater differences in English,smaller in Chinese.Conclusion Text layout has significant impact on visual recognition performance,the visual recognition performance differences between horizontal layout and vertical layout depend on the type of word,and text layout in Chinese is much more flexible.
