| Abstract: | Advances in hydrodynamic performance of sieve trays in the last twenty years are reviewed. The performances include flow regimes, gas/liquid distribution, pressure drop, weeping, entrainment, froth layer, hydraulic gradient, liquid holdup over the weir and downcomer performance. The necessities to enhance the fundamental research on hydrodynamic performance of sieve trays are emphasized. |
