| Abstract: | Presents portions of an interview with the cover artist, James N. Butcher, that took place on June 19, 2005. Internationally recognized for his research programs in personality assessment, abnormal psychology, cross-cultural personality factors, and computer-based personality assessment, Butcher is professor emeritus in the Department of Psychology at the University of Minnesota. This interview discusses how this psychologist shifted focus in his 67th year, taking up the complexities of watercolor painting. It is noted that the Bike Trail in Excelsior, which is shown on the cover of this issue, is representative of the images that intrigue Butcher.
