山西传统民居屋顶装饰艺术探究

Through field investigation, this pa- per studies regional culture features, housetop decoration features and cultural connotation of housetop decoration of Shanxi traditional dwelling. Based on that, it puts forward that structure and decoration of traditional housetops not only reflect rich imagination and creativity of laboring people, but also are ruled by feudal regime hierarchy and etiquette.
