摘    要:在 1998年葛南直流输电工程额定容量考核试验中 ,葛洲坝换流站 1台MRTB并联避雷器在金属转换开关操作时发生故障损坏。笔者通过试验研究和EMTP计算 ,得出了MRTB并联避雷器损坏的主要原因是该型避雷器密封不严 ,水分潮气进入所致。建议将新购的 16台避雷器全部安装 ,每年对避雷器和MRTB断路器进行预防性试验

Abstract:A surge arrester paralleled to the MRTB(Metallic Return Transfer Breaker) was damaged during the commutation from the ground return mode to the metal return mode in the Rated Load Test of Gezhouba to Nanqiao HVDC Transmission Project in 1998.By calculation using EMTP and test, it is concluded that the main reason of the damage of the surge arresters is that the surge arrester is not sealed tightly, and moisture penetrats into it. All the 16 new surge arresters are suggested to be installed. It is also suggested that the surge arresters and MRTB shall be tested preventatively once a year.
