A Study about the Institutional Approach of Chinese Landscape Architectural Accreditation

It is a hot topic as how to implement landscape architectural accreditation. This paper introduces the national vocational qualification management system, summarizes the vocational qualifications of the landscape industry, reviews the drafts of Chinese landscape architectural accreditation, and discusses the laws and institutional approach of Chinese landscape architectural accreditation. It shows that Chinese landscape architectural accreditation could be put into practice according to relevant laws. It could choose either to practice vocational level evaluation accreditation approach as ‘Landscape Architect Professionals’ or‘Landscape Architect’, or to practice the professional access accreditation approach as ‘Registered Landscape Architect’. After comparing with other accreditations of the construction industry, it is believed that it is better to have the institutional approach of‘Registered Landscape Architect’.
