Abstract:Generalized multi-protocol label switching(GMPLS) has a promising future in optical switching technology.However,there are only a few investigations on GMPLS.We pointed out the differences between GMPLS and traditional MPLS firstly,then depicted the principle structure of GMPLS,and identified that the transfer and switching of the optical label is essential to optical IP packet.We put forward a solution of GMPLS optical switching net,and proposed a optical labeling technology based on wave length transform and LSP with MPLS label stack.In this solution,the combination of IP and WAV is achieved with the advantage of GMPLS.
