SILK DYEING IN A MIXTURE OF ACID DYES

The equilibrium and kinetic studies for the mixture dyeing of silk with acid dyes have been made. The results of the binary mixture dyeing of silk suggested that so -called "blocking phenomenon" took place in the similar manner to the nylon dyeing. The rate constants of silk dyeing and diffusion coefficient of the dye in silk were obtained. the presence of sodium slkysulfates in the dyeing was found to slow the dyeing rate, but accelerat the dye diffusion.
