| Abstract: | A parallel-plate waveguide with a narrow slit in its upper plate is investigated. The magnetic current induced in the slit is obtained from an integral equation whose kernel is approximated to a logarithmic function. From knowledge of the magnetic current, the normalised conductance and susceptance of the slit are computed. |
