Abstract: | The Distinguished Contribution for Applications in Psychology Award is presented to a person who has engaged in a program of research that is both systematic and applied in character. This year the award was given to Starke R. Hathaway. He was presented with a check for $1,000 and an engrossed citation of his contribution. The award was presented by Richard P. Thompson, former Chair of the Committee on Scientific Awards. Other members of the committee are Gerald C. Davison, John I. Lacey, Walter Mischel, Lorrin A. Riggs, and Elaine C. Waister.
