Design and Construction Methodology for the New Metro Line to Pass Through the Existing Station

The Tiyuxi station of the new No.3 metro line of Guangzhou metro is designed to pass through the underneath of the Tiyuxi station of the existing No.1 metro line. It becomes an important subject to make sure normal operation and structure safety for the Tiyuxilu Station of the existing No.1 line, and at the same time to work out a safe, reasonable and feasible construction methodology. This article studies and analyzes the effect to Tiyuxi station of the No.1 metro line in utilization of different node structure modes and the comparison and selection process of multiple design plans, and at the same time describes the construction plan to be adopted for the project of that node .
