| Abstract: | The virtual velocity and the virtual acceleration in a mechanical system with holonomic constraints are disscussed. Practical mechanical problems of idealized constraints have been studied. The accelerative ellergy theorem is proposed. The Sufficiencyof the principle of virtual velocity and the Sufficiency of the principle of virtLlal acceleration have been proved. An example is given in practical application of Jourdian's principle and Gauss's principle. |
