两种指纹特征提取方法的对比研究

为了有效、精确地提取出指纹图像的细节特征点,对两种指纹特征提取的方法进行了对比。一种是在细化后的指纹图上直接进行细节特征的提取;另外一种是在得到细化图像后,进行脊线跟踪去除伪细节特征点,保留原有的特征信息,然后进行细节特征点的提取。实验结果表明前者在细节特征点提取时存在大量的伪特征信息;后者提取到的细节点数目相对较少,且提取的几乎都是原有的细节特征点,更有利于了进一步的指纹匹配工作。

A study about comparing two methods of fingerprint minutiae extraction

In order to extract fingerprint minutiae effectively and accurately, two methods of fingerprint minutiae extraction were compared. One of the two methods is ecumenical method, after getting the thinned image, the fingerprint minutiae is extracted. The other one will be done, after tracing the ridges to eliminate the pseudo minutiae and holding on the original minutiae of the fingerprint. Experimental results show that there is much pseudo minutiae with the former method. The number of key minutiae is less, and most of the minutiae is original minutiae of the fingerprint with the latter method, and it is helpful to fingerprint matching phase.
