Assembly Method of Reticulated Steel Shell Roof for Beijing University Gymnasium

This paper focuses on the assembly method of reticulated steel shell roof for Beijing University Gymnasium,and the main technologies include prefabrication of steel structure elements in a processing factory,and assembly on site.The paper then describes the specific assembly processes adopted on site,and these include a diffused assembly consequence starting from the centre,the first assembly priority to rigid structure ring,the second assembly priority to radiant truss,and then structural member and bracing member for the ring.The process of assembly is reasonable to ensure that the steel structure roof is overall stability during the installation process,and in practice,the radiation trusses are assembled according to a symmetric cycle,while the link trusses are assembled from outside to inside.It is concluded that the design of assembly technology for this specific project with a reasonable choice of welding technology can satisfy quality requirements.
