A Textual Research on the "Counter-monuments"

During recent decades, "counter-monuments" hasbecome the reflection and transformation of memorial spaces inwestern commemorative practices study. It exists in oppositionto traditional monumentality in order to materialize the goal ofcommemoration and enrich the theory of landscape architecture.The paper has sorted out the origin, evolution and development ofthe "counter-monuments". The aim is to help to reinvigorate theresearch interests in "counter-monuments" and provide new ideasfor design of contemporary memorial spaces.
