Abstract:The dissipating bracings are always used to enhance the seismic performance of steel structures,but previous earthquakes has risen doubts about using this member.Recent research show that the energy steel rings can be used to improve the seismic performance of the system.Based on the existed test results,parameter analysis is conducted with the software ANSYS,and the influence of plate length and thickness and ring thickness are analyzed,the results show that,when increasing the plate length,the load capacity grows,and the stress in the middle increases,when increasing the ring thickness,the capacity and energy dissipation increases obviously,but stress intensity decreases.
