铌酸锂光波导晶体材料的发展

摘    要:本文综述了在光电信息技术推动下铌酸锂光波导晶体材料的新近发展情况。从器件需求出发分析了铌酸锂光波导材料应当具备的性能和质量标准;着重阐述与此有关的材料科学技术问题,包括影响铌酸锂晶体质量的主要因素、各种组成与均匀性表征方法的比较和MgO:LiN_6O_3的制备与性能。指出表面层完整性问题是当今基片制备中的薄弱环节。

Abstract:Recent progress in LiNbO_3 optical waveguide crystal material research under the promotion of opto-electronic information technology is reviewed. The properties required and quality specifications of LiNbO_3 optical waveguide material are analysed from the point of view of device requirements. The importance of relevant aspects in field of materials science and engineering is stressed. These include some important factors affecting the quality of LiNbO_3 crystals, a comparison of different methods for charaeterization of chemical composition and homogeneity as well as the preparation and properties of MgO:LiNbO_3. The preparation for a perfect surface layer has been shown to be a weak link in today's substrates production.
