| Abstract: | This paper summarizes the principles and characteristics of reactive extrusion. The production of oxidized starch, esterified starch, cross-linked starch and etherized starch by reactive extrusion are introduced. It is considered that reactive extrusion technique is an economical and feasible way of producing modified starches. |
