21世纪西安市将面临城市快速发展与水资源短缺和水环境污染的突出矛盾，而国内外相关实践证明，雨水的合理利用是解决水资源短缺的有效途径之一。在介绍国内外雨水利用现状的基础上，分析了西安市水资源及水资源开发利用现状。阐述了西安市雨水利用的必要性和可行性，通过与国外雨水利用现状相比，对西安市雨水利用发展前景进行了展望。此项工作对于推动西安市的雨水利用有重要意义。

The Analysis on the Development Prospect of Rainwater Utilization in City

The rapid development of Xi＇an will face the prominent contradictions of water resources shortages and water resources pollution in 21st century, and the relevant practice of domestic and international countries have proved that the rational utilization of rainwater is one of the effective ways to resolve the water resources shortages. In the paper, the development and utilization status of water resources in Xi＇an based on of rainwater utilization at home and abroad was introduced; the necessity and feasibility of the rainwater utilization in Xi ＇an city was analysized, and the prospect on rainwater utilization and development of Xi＇an according to the status comparison of rainwater utilization with foreign countries was presented, this will provide a further formation for practice of the utilization of rainwater in Xi＇an city.
