Abstract: | A reliable computational algorithm is proposed for the evaluation of the transfer-function matrices of linear multivariable systems described by generalized state-Space models. The algorithm is based on a new, efficient and numerically stable procedure for computing irreducible state-space realizations of generalized state-space models. For each input-output channel, the proposed algorithm computes an irreducible realization using this procedure. Then, the parameters of the corresponding transfer function (gain, poles, zeros) are determined from the resulting irreducible model. |
