| Abstract: | The stability (with temperature and power supply voltage variations) of the oscillation frequency f0 of an ECL-based multivibrator is considered. This circuit is a non-saturated multivibrator. Its operation is revised and an exact expression for calculation of f0 is obtained. Then the temperature coefficient and sensitivity to the power supply voltage are derived. The results were verified experimentally. Some recommendations on the choice of the external timing components are given. |
