| Abstract: | A brief survey is given about the thoery of global structure of discourse. Through concrete examples, this paper discusses the feasibility and practicality of applying the macrorules deletion rule, generalization rule and construction rule -in English reading teaching, aiming at offering a new study approach to reading teaching for language teaching teachers and further improving the reading ability of students. |
