The Influence of Superconducting Shield on Operation Behavior of CD HTSC Cable

This paper presents the theoretical evidence that preferable operation status of CD HTSC cable with no magnetic field outside its shield owing to the return current flowing through the shield equal and opposite to its phase current can be achieved by bonding two ends of shields of the CD HTSC cable installed in specific configuration of the cable system.The preferred structure of CD HTSC cable and its electrical parameter can thereby be determined.
