Abstract:Objective:To observe the distribution and growth status of endothelial cells(ECs)on the surface of cardiovascular stents,to investigate the endothelialization of the surface of the stents and to explore the factors affecting the degree of endothelialization on the surface of the stent.Methods:In the case of specific staining and labeling of different structures of endothelial cells the laser confocal scanning microscopy(LSCM)system was used to continuously scan and observe the fluorescently labeled endothelial cells on the surface of the stents which implanted in vivo after one month.Results:In the absence of any endothelial molecules or drugs,the endothelial cells distributed on the stent materials were relatively sparse,and the degree of endothelialization was not enough.However,endothelial cells are distributed tightly and in a regular and orderly manner on the surface of the stents which were coated with endothelial molecules or drugs.In addition,it has a higher degree of endothelialization after one week.Conclusion:The laser confocal scanning system can effectively realize the qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the surface endothelialization degree of the stent material from the micro and macro perspectives.
