| Abstract: | As real time applications play an increasingly critical role, it is necessary to develope and deploy real time application on some general operating systems such as solaris. The real time capabilities of the solaris 8 operating system are analyzed with a real time application case. The conclusion is that the solaris 8 operating system provides a wealth of features that is key to real time programmers and offers a good real time environment. |
