| Abstract: | The hanging orebody in the ancient mining area in Shanxi Silver Mine hosts a great reserve with a relatively high ore grade. To recover the hanging ore, firstly, the filled waste rock collapsed in the upper part will be used to fill the ancient mined-out area and water introduced to argillitize the filled waste rock so as to enable natural settlement and consolidation. Secondly, the orebody will be divided into several blocks along the strike. And finally, the orebody will be stoped using the overhand cut and dry-placed fill stoping method. This paper presents the details regarding the treatment of the mined-area and the stoping procedures. |
