Abstract:This paper gives a brief review on the recent progress of reverberation perception and evaluation. The traditional perceived reverberation is known as determined only by the temporal characteristics of the sound energy decay rate, but there are more other factors pertaining to the reverberation perception, such as, the spatial characteristic of the reflections during the decay process, the sound frequency, and the listening sound level. This paper also summarized that these factors may give remarkable influence on the reverberation perception.
