制浆造纸科学研究视角

摘    要:作者论述了他们对制浆造纸科学研究的观点,特别强调科学研究应是对更深入的知识内容的探求,而不只是简单的数据收集。确定性的数学模型是获得更深入的知识的重要方法,描述了造纸研究中数学模型的几个范例,给出了如何改进过程以获得对问题的更深入理解。总结了建立如压光方程、纸浆筛选模型、湿压渗透递减模型(DPM)和夹网刮板成形等数学模型在科学研究中的重要意义及经验教训。

Abstract:The authors describe their perspectives on research in pulp and paper science with particular emphasis on the need for more intellectual content rather than simple data gathering.Deterministic mathematical modelling is a key way of achieving deeper understanding.Examples of such modelling from past research in papermaking are described to show how insights gained can lead to improved processes.Lessons learned in the development of models,such as Calendering Equation,Pulp Screening Models,wet pressing Decreasing Permeability Model(DPM)and Twin Wire Blade Forming Model are also described.
