物体的“形态”包含“外形”和“神态”两层意义,形态具有力度感、通感等心理特征。形态学是家具造型设计的基础理论之一。家具造型最终以功能、材料、结构等形态类型加以体现。理解形态构成规律、采纳大自然中的各种形态特征、以家具形态要素为重点是创造家具新形态的基本方法。

Lecture on Furniture Design(VII) Form Desing of Furniture

The meanings of forms include external form and expression. The theory of form is basic for furniture design. The fonn of furniture is reflected mainly by forms of function, structure and the materials. New furniture forms can be brought out by consciously understanding the usual patterns of forms, accepting all forms of nature and emphasizing on forms element of the piece.
