基于小波零树的雷达回波数据的压缩

摘    要:当前,天气雷达监测已经由单部雷达局部监测发展到了利用多部雷达组网监测的阶段。组网监测可以掌握比单部雷达更大范围的天气形势,从而大大提高天气雷达在区域预报中的作用。但是,雷达回波数据量较大,为了保证组网拼图的时效性,一种有效的解决办法是对它进行压缩。论文深入分析了雷达数据的小波域系数特性后,在小波变换及零树编码的基础上,提出了一种改进算法,新算法主要对小波的分解方式及零树编码进行了改进。经实验验证,改进算法对雷达回波数据的压缩效果有了明显的改善,有一定的实用价值。

Abstract:Weather radar networking and composite imagery is a main trend in the developments of meteorological ob-servations.Multi-radar observation can offer the more widely weather system than one radar.But in the radar networking,in order to resolve the real-time of composite image,a effective method is compression to the large amount of radar e-cho data.In this paper,an improved algorithm is proposed based on the wavelet and EZW after a thorough analysis of the decomposed wavelets coefficients and the original EZW algorithm.The novel algorithm is improved mainly on the wavelet decomposition and the zero-tree coding.The results show that this algorithm is efficiency and very valuable to the practice.
