| 摘 要： | 本文称巴拉瑞特大学为乡村中的大学,以使读者感受现代国外版的桃花源大学。该大学以浓厚的乡村气息、典型的欧洲自然风格和优雅舒适的学习环境而著称,以教学和科研的国际化、个性化、远程化和合作化作为战略发展理念,吸引着来自世界各地的人们来欣赏欧洲式的田园风光,吸引着来自世界各地的学者来从事教学和科研,吸引着来自世界各地的青年学生来勤奋学习、思考和探索。

| Abstract: | This article introduces the universities in Australia in general and the University of Ballarat(UB) in particular.It examines the characteristics of UB as a village university: internationalization,individualization,networking and cooperation.Finally,it proposes some suggestions for the development of higher education in China. |
