| Abstract: | Recent advances on the application of some new techniques for steroid synthesis by microbial transformation are reviewed in this paper.By means of immobilized cells or protoplasms,aqueous two-phase bioconversion,supercritical fluid or bioconversion in organic media,the conversion ratio of steroid can be enhanced,mass transfer can be improved or biocatalytic agents can be reused.The developmental tendencies in bioreactor used for steroid bioconversion,especially for two-liquid phase bioreactor,are also introduced briefly. |
