| Abstract: | Although it would be naive to consider electronics as a panacea for urban ills, current and potential innovations in the electronics industry will aid in providing economically feasible answers to many of our cities' most pressing problems. At present, progress is being made in such areas as traffic control, police and fire communications and surveillance, air- and water-pollution control, and transit system routing. |
