Design of Jacket by Convective Heat Transfer Analysis

Abstract:The models were established that described the behavior of fluid flow and heat transfer, and calculated the solid stress states in the integrate jacket structure of the cylinder of a thin film evaporator. The coupled equations that control the convective heat transfer in the fluid and the conductive heat transfer in the solid structure were solved by the SIMPLE algorithm. The stress field caused by pressure and temperature loads in the solid structure of the integrate jacket was then got by the finite element analysis.
