| Abstract: | On the basis of analyzing the pros and cons of traditional Search Engines and off-line browsing applications, a scheme based on agents for Internet information retrieval is presented. According to the scheme, a system named WebClone integrating the functions of automatic downloading, full-text search and off-line browsing is implemented. The system can be used to facilitate the information retrieving and sharing process on the internet. |
