Abstract: | A series of Ti-containing SBA-15 samples were firstly prepared in the self-generated acidic condition. The samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, N2-adsorption, transmission electron microscopy, inductively coupled plasma, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy, UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectra (UV–vis) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. All the samples possessed well-ordered hexagonal arrays of mesopores and Ti ions could be incorporated into the framework of SBA-15. Catalytic performances of the obtained materials were evaluated in the photodegradation of Rhodamine B (RhB). Catalytic tests indicated that Ti-SBA-15 showed much higher photodegradation ability towards RhB than pure TiO2. |
