Abstract: | Clarifies the relationships among models of salary equity, including H. F. Gollob's (see record 1985-08151-001) difference index, from the point of view of M. H. Birnbaum's (1979, 1981) mediated models of salaries. The difference index has properties that make it unattractive as a measure of group bias.
