| Abstract: | In this paper,firstly,an overview of features and functionalities of JPEG 2000 still image compression standard is presented.Then the principles of wavelet transforms and its applications in JPEG2000 image coding system are addressed.Based on Java language and by fragmenting concrete procedures of image compression,dividing function modules reasonably,optimizing algorithms and increasing speed and efficiency the writing method for image encoding program is introduced.Finally,some practical guides and references for reasonable use of hardware/software mixed mode are provided. |
