Abstract: | The multi-epoxy cubic silsesquioxane (SSQE) was successfully introduced into epoxy resin (EP) and formed the organic-inorganic EP-SSQE hybrids. The hybrids were cured by 4,4′-diaminodiphenylsulphone (DDS) and the Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR) spectra were used to monitor the cured reaction of the hybrid, and the results showed that the hybrids could be cured thoughtfully without influence the cubic silsesquioane structure. The thermal properties of the hybrid such as the heat distortion temperature (HDT), the glass transition temperature Tg and the thermal decomposing property were studied. The results showed that the hybrids had the higher thermal properties than that of the pure epoxy resin for the introducing of multi-epoxy cubic silsesquioxane. |
