Abstract: | This work investigates the isothermal and non-isothermal laminar flow distribution through water solar systems. Reverse, as well as direct return circuits are studied. First and second order algebraic equations were developed for isothermal and non-isothermal, fully developed laminar flow distribution, taking into consideration experimental results on junction pressure losses. The effect of the various parameters appearing in the derived equations is also investigated. The flow uniformity was found to be greater in reverse return circuits rather than in centrally-fed direct return circuits. |
