Research of Selection and Placement of Different Casing Centralizers

Proper placement of the casing centralizer can not only improve the centering of the casing and facilitate the running of the casing,effectively prevent the cement slurry from channeling,but also improve the displacement efficiency,to ensure the formation of a cement sheath with good sealing effect outside the pipe,thereby improving the cementing quality.Based on summarizing the classification and technical characteristics of conventional casing centralizers,the structural principles and characteristics of several new foreign casing centralizers were introduced.Through software simulation analysis,the selection and placement of casing centralizers were summarized and analyzed,and the optimization and placement schemes of casing centralizers under different well conditions and processes were obtained.It provides a reference for the reasonable selection of casing centralizers and placement combinations during the casing running operation.
