Bright Dairy and Danone

Groupe Danone, a major player in the world food industry, has speeded up its expansion in China. The dairy giant has succeeded in reaching an alliance with Shanghai Bright Dairy & Food Co Ltd, China's largest dairy producer, by taking five percent stake in the company. It is expected that the aim of the merger is to bring Danone closer to the Chinese consumers.
