Local development of ISO14000 for the food industry

It is surprising that, among 21,648 food enterprises with annual production volume above ＄5 million in China, only one has achieved ISO14000 standard. Government's indifferent attitude and enterprises' market-orientated mind should be blamed for the poor development of the system. From now on, however. China's food industry should put more attention on ISO14000, in order to gain access to the foreign countries.
