The Shanghai Planning Inventory and Regulation Center is the newly established subsidiary body of the Shanghai Planning and Land Resource Administration Bureau. The Center is positioned to provide professional and technical services of urban planning. It has specific commitment to implement technical review of regulatory planning, standards development, competition results, planning and other related information platform etc. Its public service functions is to meet the formal legal position of the regulatory planning, the privatization of the planning institutes and the needs of administrative efficiency. This article focuses on case studies of the technical review of regulatory planning, and explores the expertise of providing technical services of the Planning Inventory and Regulation Center.
