Abstract:Millimeter-wave massive MIMO is one of the hot techniques in the fifth generation(5G)mobile communication system.The millimeter-wave massive MIMO antenna provides high-directional beam to compensate the transmission loss of the millimeter-wave signal through beamforming and effectively improve the system capacity and energy efficiency.According to the need of 5G mobile communication system,a millimeter-wave hybrid beamforming massive MIMO antenna architecture is designed in this paper.Using this architecture,an antenna prototype is developed.The bandwidth of this prototype is 1 GHz at 28.6 GHz.This prototype antenna contains 64 antenna elements,divided into four sub-arrays and each subarray corresponding one transmit/receive channel.Using near-field and OTA(Over The Air),the beam、EIRP and EVM of this antenna is measure that.We believe that this antenna prototype provide valuable insights and understanding for millimeter massive MIMO in 5G.
