Value of Troponin I in Diagnosising Acute Myocardial Infarction

Serum cardiac troponin （CTnI） of patients with acute myocardial infarction was tested with microparticle chemiluminescence method. The results showed that the serum cardiac troponin （CmI） began to increase 4.1 ± 2.3 h after the onset of acute myocarclial infarction （AMI）, reached peak value （1197.7 ng/mL） at 12.1± 4.3 h for 10 days and then gradually returned to the normal level （0.015 ± 0.012 ng/mL）, which were allless than the positive criteria （0.1 ng/mL）. It is concluded that the diagnosis sensitivity of CTnI for AMI is higher than that of creatine kinase （ CK）, creatine kinase （ CK - MK）, lactate dehydrogenase （ LDH）, aspartate transam-inase （GOT） and a- hydroxy dehydrogenase （a- HBDH）. The sensitivity and specificity of CTnI is remarkably superior to the activity of CK - MB. Therefore, it is a serum marker of myocardial injury with high sensitivity andspecificity.
