Abstract:The dynamic voltage restorer(DVR) is effectively used in mitigating voltage sags.The controller’s performances play a key role in DVR with excellent functions.This paper proposes a novel control method according to the theory of variable structure control theory.Considering that DVR is a coupling nonlinear system in synchronous rotating dq coordinate system,firstly,the original system model of DVR is linearized and decoupled to be two pseudo-linear systems.Then adopt variable structure control theory,by which the variable structure control laws of the pseudo-linear systems are designed.At last,simulations are proceeded to verify the controller performance basing on above theory analysis.The simulation results verify the viability and effectiveness of the control algorithm.
